4-Seat Option (Elite Package)
The 4-door sports car is now available with four bucket seats. What could make more sense? All four passengers are pampered, of course. The rear passengers are also just as much a part of the action as the front, with their own available heated seats, their own auto up/down window, their own spacious center console, their own rear sunshade. Burnt Orange leather appointments is an eye-catching option on all four bucket seats.
Memory Features
At some point, your spouse is probably going to want to drive. But that doesn't mean you need to give up having your seat be "just so." Maxima's available memory function remembers your ideal settings for driver's seat, steering column and mirrors. Then it slides into place when you get back behind the wheel. Where you belong. (It even remembers the ideal positions for that other driver... but we won't tell if you don't.)
Entry/Exit Feature
On Maximas equipped with the Driver Preferred Package, unlocking the doors signals the driver's seat to pull out to welcome you. Then the driver's seat steps aside the same way when it's time to get out — should you actually decide to exit, that is.
Heated Steering Wheel and Seats
Regardless of the temperature outside, few things feel more comforting than something warm. So why not go for a heated steering wheel, heated front seats, heated outside mirrors or, with the Elite Package, all of the above, plus heated rear seats. The option is up to you.
Hoodless Meter Gauges
Like the acceleration and handling of the new Maxima, the gauges have also been inspired by the cockpit. Designed for instant comprehension of vital information through large, clear dials, they are trimmed nicely with titanium-tinted trim and set back to avoid sunlight glare, as well as any anxious glances from the co-pilot.
Gear Shifter
Somehow, the smaller details truly do end up meaning the most. Take, for example, Maxima's two different shifters. The automatic transmission gated shifter (which includes a manual mode on SE) is where luxury and high-performance combine, including the use of metallic tone accents. For the SE's optional 6-speed manual, the thrill of the drive is king. Tightly stitched, perfect in your palm, ready for the next S-curve.

Integrated Center Display
PDAs, step aside: This is what personal data assistance is all about. This one display can tell you just about everything you need to know - trip-wise. The data bank includes average speed, average fuel consumption, miles to empty, driving time, and even the outside temperature.

Only the best: An available 8-speaker, 320-watt 6-disc CD audio system, custom-engineered by Bose®. After thousands of calculations to study how sound waves resonate in the Maxima cabin, Bose engineers tuned and positioned the eight speakers accordingly. Unique Bose technology includes two 8-inch woofers, pumping out some of the fullest bass you'll ever hear. For ultimate convenience and hours of uninterrupted music, the Bose system features an in-dash 6-CD autochanger.

Nissan Navigation System
Find just about any restaurant on your list, and a lot more. The available DVD-based Nissan Navigation System pinpoints a location by address or intersection.* With the Quick Stop function, you can find your way to the closest ATM, restaurant, gas station, etc. The system features Voice Guidance, to talk you through your trip, and Birdview™, for a 3-D rendering of any area. Dual Zone Auto Temp. Control
Announcing a final truce in the war over cabin temperature. The Nissan Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) allows driver and passenger to choose their own personal climate, freeing them up to argue about more important matters, like who gets to drive.
Steering-Wheel Controls
Cruise and audio controls for every Maxima are mounted right on the steering wheel. Which means you can operate cruise control, modulate audio volume, change CD tracks, and even survey your presets - all without your hands ever having to leave the wheel. Lucky them.
Auto-dimming Rearview Mirror
Every Maxima offers at least one good way to combat the harshness in the world: A rearview mirror that automatically dims to reduce the glare of headlights from vehicles behind you. And once you arrive at your destination, a HomeLink® Universal Transceiver is integrated into the mirror.
Power Rear Sunshade
Few of us could afford to hire someone to walk behind us with an umbrella to keep the sun off our shoulders (might be nice on the golf course, but otherwise, just not practical). So while you're doing driving of another sort, this available power sliding rear sunshade is the next best thing. It has front and rear controls and is part of the Elite Package.
